Is there a way so that we write our own Writer Object instead of the already provided one.
Any ideas on how to make this...
Thanks

No, not for a JSP. The JspWriter class actually wraps either a PrintWriter Object (if buffering is turned off) or a BufferedWriter (if buffering is turned on) The writer gets created the first time any response gets returned to the client or is called in jsp script with an out.print.
Nothing prevents you from wrapping this with another Writer but, I don't really know any that may be appropriate in the Standard API but.....

Hope This Helps

Thanks Carl,
But JSP as well provides, extends in the page directive, this class which we extend could define the basic servlet functions, in the serivce method, before calling _jspservice(), do you think we could have some way out.. by defining some xxx... before or after calling the _jspservice()..
Do you see it possible??
