getting following error on compilation . . .

import java.io.*;
import javax.servlet.*;
import javax.servlet.http.*;
public class HelloWorld extends HttpServlet {
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
HttpServletResponse response)
throws ServletException, IOException {
PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
out.println("Hello World");
}
}
when i try to issue the javac command to compile this servlet
i get the
cannot resolve symbol error, am i missing some environment variables ?

It would help if you would give the complete error. Which symbol it can't resolve.....
