I was just curious to know what folks around here think about Jason Hunter's article "The Problems with JSP". Also, does "Professional JSP" address any of the issues raised in the article?

I think some of the issues have been addressed in the 18 months since that article was written (for instance, the include delegation model has replaced the Model 2 design, where instead of a servlet being the controller, an initial non-display jsp page is the controller, and includes all the jsps used for data access and view rendering).
Also, the specification is more defined, and it is certainly more well-known and supported. Being a java developer, I wouldn't agree that JSPs be the "norm," and servlets the "exception." But if I were an HTML designer, I might beg to differ.
