In general this exception is thrown when the app server has started to send data back and then you either hit 'stop' or 'refresh' or something on you browser. This forces the servlet to stop running since it can no longer send data.
What could be happening is you have something that isn't finishing in you servlet or taking a long time, then either you or the browser are causing it stop.
This exception is more likely to be the effect rather than the cause of your problems.
