Hi,
I am using Apache 1.3.20 and Tomcat-3.3-b1 for executing servlets/jsp's. Till yesterday everything was working properly. But now Apache is not forwarding the /servlet requests to Tomcat for processing. I am able to start both of them properly.
APACHE->
/home/rajeshk/download/apache/bin> apachectl start
[Tue Aug 28 16:29:35 2001] [alert] httpd: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 172.25.80.125 for ServerName
apachectl start: httpd started
TOMCAT->
/home/rajeshk/download/jakarta-tomcat-3.3-b1/bin> Tomcat: setAttribute home=./..

About the only thing I can suggest is to ask if you are restarting Apache AFTER you restart Tomcat. Apache opens a tcp/ip pipeline and if Tomcat goes down and back up, Apache is supposed to have to be restarted so it connect to the new Tomcat's sockets.
