I am trying to do a vote page online by using servlet and jsp.
what is the first step I need to do?

some kinda electronic voting system..huh!!!
How familiar are you with servlets and JSP's?
Without knowing this, I am not sure where to start...

had several years java programming
almost one year jsp/servlet
now..still working..but add xml/xslt/wml
didn't doing vote application before.
need some concepts about how the vote system works.
I click CNN vote several times today, but, I just can think..count no. post, might need java.io, jdbc connection. Don't want to use applet.
any suggestions?? tnx

There's one excellent Voting application example in Wrox's Professional JSP Second edition book.Its in JDBC chapter and it uses JSP.
