help regarding page expiry

The previous page should expire as soon as the user goes to the next page.is it possible in servlets?
I think it is possible using java script but i don't know
java script.
Pl. show the code in servlets/java script if possible.

Maybe if you explain what are you trying to achieve we could give you sugesstion or something. Other than that i don't see a reason why would you do that.

No it's not. Page expiration is a client-side thing, not a server thing. Ask over in the HTML forum!

It could be combined server-side/client-side.

If you have a controlling servlet, and use a session variable, the session would contain "currentPage=" and if someone tried to re-request a page that is lower than currentPage, they get booted back to where they should.

This is all assuming that on the client-side, the HTML specifies no caching, and assumes your browser will listen to this.
