Hi,
Thanks for all the help on my JSP page, you guys rock. I now have an error I can't get rid of. This is what it tells me:
[31/Aug/2001:09:56:30] failure (18520): Internal error: exception thrown from the servlet service function (uri=/test/kevin/news/index.jsp): java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: processName: method processingDate(Ljava/lang/String ; )Ljava/lang/String; not found, stack: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: processName: method processingDate(Ljava/lang/String ; )Ljava/lang/String; not found

at org.apache.jasper.runtime.HttpJspBase.service(Compiled Code)
at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(Compiled Code)

I wish I knew what was going on.

Looks to me like somewhere you call a method
processingDate(Ljava/lang/String ; )Ljava/lang/String;
in other words a method with the signature:
processingDate( String s )
that the compiler can't find. What class is that in? Where did you put the class file?

I have an import statement at the top of the page, importing the class file. It is in a class file that I wrote myself. The class file is in the java1.2/lib directory on the server, which is part of the server classpath. There are three functions in the class file, the constructor, then processingName, and processingDate. In my jsp page, I can call processingName, and it works. But when I call processingDate, it doesn't. Both function are laid out in the same fashion, so it makes no sense why it doesn't work.
