I am getting the following Internal Servlet Error. Is it something to do with my packages?
My classes are in C:\tomcat\webapps\examples\WEB-INF\classes
I have 1 servlet and 2 javabeans at the moment under the package 'portal' eg portal.UrlServlet.class, portal.UrlSortBean
My form includes:
<FORM ACTION = "servlet/UrlServlet" METHOD = "post">
Here is my error
java.lang.NullPointerException
at java.lang.ClassLoader.resolveClass0(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.resolveClass(ClassLoader.java:597)
at org.apache.tomcat.loader.AdaptiveClassLoader.loadClass(AdaptiveClassLoader.java:518)
at org.apache.tomcat.loader.AdaptiveServletLoader.loadClass(AdaptiveServletLoader.java:174)
at org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.loadServlet(ServletWrapper.java:265)
at org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.init(ServletWrapper.java:289)
at org.apache.tomcat.core.Handler.service(Handler.java:254)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:579)
Thanks for the help in advance. I think its something simple.

Your error "java.lang.NullPointerException" is a very common error. It seems like an object is not initialized. It's kind of hard to tell though, without seeing more code.

Thanks Bosun
You were right. It was to do with some of my other code. My mind was so focused on another cause, I missed the obvious.Live and learn.
Cheers very much for the help anyway.
