I am posting this question again..
I am using HttpSession for session tracking mechanism.
I want to implement single sign on..thatz i want to maintain a single session for a user.Help in this.

Single sign on assists user from keep entering ids and passwds for each security resouces. You can get some valuable info in the Architect certification.

Single Sign-on is different than what you indicate in your original post.

Your original post was about ensuring that a user can be signed on from only a single machine at once.

The concept of 'single signon' has more to do with signing in *once* for multiple applications.

Thanx for all ur replies.Maybe i would have misunderstood Single Sign on.Anyway here is the thing that i want.
Suppose a user logs in in a system(machine 1) i create a HttpSession and allow him to go thru the site.Suppose he logs in again in another system then also he should be allowed to login.But the session which he had first(machine 1) should get expired.Hez no more authenticated in machine 1.This is the thing that i am in need of.Explain me how this can be done.I am not using beans for this.All i do is with HttpSession alone.
