creating a servlet login

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
hi
im trying to implement a simple login in which the user fills an html form with id and password and then a servlet is in charge of manage the authorization
however i cannot find any example or resource on the net that tells me how to protect all the site, lets say someone knows the URL of one of the .html or .jsp pages that are on the site, he can type the URL and go there directly even if he didnt log in, but i just cant figure out how to tell the servlet which pages should be checked
im new on this, so i really would appreciate if someone knows about a tutorial or examples or something like that where i can learn about this
thanks in advance

Both the servlet 2.3 spec and the J2EE 1.3 spec
include sections on security.
Check them out at
http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/index.html
and
http://java.sun.com/j2ee/, respectively.
You can also find tutorials, example code, white
papers and other resources at those sites.
HTH,
Joe

I suggest (in case the post needs more info since we changed things around recently) you use only a login 2-word name (no display name) and use your first and last names (and middle initial if you want).
