Are the servlets thread-safe when deployed in an application server[BEA Weblogic/ IBM Websphere] like the EJB's?

Of course they are - since servlets are basis for getting requests and sending responses in the J2EE environment, they have to be. Each request gets its own Thread controlled by the servlet container. However, since there is only one copy of each servlet object, it is up to the programmer to pay attention to thread safety issues. Bill
