I created a servletc.bat file following the version provided by Marty Hall in his core servlets and jsp. This is my servletc.bat:
@echo off
javac -d C:\Program Files\Apache Tomcat 4.0\webapps\myWebApp\WEB-INF\classes %1%
And when I tried to use servletc, I got error messages shown below:
C:\myDevDir>servletc *.java
javac: invalid flag: Files\Apache
You see, because of the space between "Program" and "Files" and that between "Apache" and "Tomcat", javac takes "Files\Apache" as a flag.
If I don't want to change Program Files to Program_Files or Apache Tomcat 4.0 to Apache_Tomcat_4.0 so as to eliminate the disturbing spaces, how can I handle this problem? Thanks.

use "" around the path name, like "c:\...\prog files\..."
