Hi
I've created my servlets and want to turn them into web apps. I'm using Tomcat 3.2.1
Anyone got a simple step by step guide.

A web application is not neccesarily something that you turn a servlet into it is more of a collection of different things that all go together to form an applicaion. You can have servlets, jsp, beans, some sort of database, etc
It is not like running a servlet or something through a different compiler and it comes out as a web app.
Yo can call something as simpel as an HTML form and database a web app.
If you've already got your servlets what else do you need t make it all work correctly? After it is done and it works you've got a web app.
someone else can probably explain this better...

If you have servlets, then you have the engine for your web app. What you need to do is create an html or jsp page that posts/gets the servlet.
Eg:
<form method="post" action="http://localhost/servlet/MyServlet">
And MyServlet would be your main servlet. I highly recommend Java Developer's Guide to Servlets and JSP by Bill Brogden - or Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages by Marty Hall.
Does this help any?

Marty Hall has an on-line tutorial at:

That should help you out!

Hi all,
I'd like to know when deploying the web pages from a web project to a local web server, what is needed to do?
Thanks.
