Now I am creating a J2EE platform. From the book of Core J2EE Patterns, I found that it introduces the Synchronizer Token which prevents the user from clicking the button 'back' and 'forward' in the browser (am I right?). However, it just have a brief introduction for this technique.
For my web application, I expect that if one clicks the back button, an error page is displayed.
PS: I am now using Tomcat for the Web container, and Struts is used for the J2EE pattern, and BES as the EJB container.
Thanks!
Stephen

Although this is a J2EE patterns question, I think that you'll get a much better response in the Servlets forum. And besides, there's a book giveaway going on at the moment.
