thanks for the review... so are you saying the book does not use many real world examples, or just not one huge example to really utilize all of the ideas in the book?

Also, does the book try to stay away from JSP or do they include some info on this?
Thanks

They do use real world examples in the book, its only that I would have preferred them using one project / application throughout the book. This way each author could contribute towards one final, prefect ??, solution.
JSP's is covered in the book but it's only an intro to JSP's.

HI ,
Thanks for the review.

This book deserves a better score, it provides me with all the info I need, but I am afraid the way it is told as a whole stops me from obtaining the in-dept understanding of Servlets I was hoping to find through this book.

if so then it would not be a recommendation for the SCWCD exam, i think. I was looking at this from that point of view as i have just started studying for that.
Thanks again
Taash

Hi there, I think that that would be a lovely IDEA. However I think the risk is that with so many authors working on the same book and working so far apart, the example would become a bit disjoint and not as perfect as you might think. I would be interested to hear if you have any ideas on how to manage this problem, as I think it could be a great way to make the books even better
