I'm having touble following your question. Are you trying to send information on a given date, rather than following a request?
As far as I know, most greeting cards (on the internet) aren't sent via a servlet. Rather, the greeting card is posted on a site and an e-mail is sent when the greeting card is ready (on the given date).
The part where the servlet comes in is more likely to be when someone comes to your site to request that a greeting card be sent.
I hope that helps,
Corey

Thanks very much.
Actually i have to make shedular in which client is mobile. The client store the message on server and tell server to remind me on particular date and the message i have feeded. The server tell via sms or mail.
But the problem is how to contiously check on server that container knows now that it has to send message to particlar client at time say 't'.
After that the problem arise i send message via any thing. But first is checking continously about whether to send message to when and to whom.
Thanks
