hello all,
i want to redirect an user to an url witch only accepts http posts, has anybody an idea how i can do this within a servlet ?

As far as I know, you can't since a redirect can only use a URL. You could send a page with a POST form and hidden variables and a button saying click here to go to xxxx

Or as a slight modification, you can redirect to the second page and make it an 'auto-submitting form'

The advantage here is that although the user has to be sent to an intermediate page, they don't see anything and don't have to do anything.

Thats cool David - is that Javascript function widely available? I don't see it in this JS Pocket Reference.
