I am coding a web application on Apache Tomcat. The web application is in Japanese and hence the requierd display is japanese. The servlet and JSP output on Tomcat console is perfectly fine however the browser dosent display the correct data. It just replaces the data by question marks. I have tried setting the encoding to Shift_JIS and EU but not successful. Is any of the experts hava asolution to this. This is quite urgent. Thanx

Set the content type using response.setContentType. Also set the meta tag http-equiv="Content-Type" appropriately.
