javaranch has a strange bug where it will occasionally put an old message at the top.

It's actually not a bug. If you find an old thread and post to it and then delete your post, the thread ends up on top. We have a utility to run that cleans those up but really it isn't a big deal.

never had a look at leisure suit larry, until a google search 5 minutes ago, its actually something I picked up from childhood cartoons, I think, I cant remember which, and none of the dozen or so developers I work with have ever heard it before, strangely, needless to say it was difficult explaining.
