I'd go for Subaru. My boyfriend has had two Subaru Station Wagons and he loves them (not the Outback type, though). You can definately get a lot of miles out of them. And definately a lot more reliable than Taurus. And I love the look of the Outback, too. BTW, all Subaru cars are four-wheel drive, in case you ever get to live in the north.... You know what's getting very good ratings everywhere right now is the Volkswagen Passat. Is there any reason you're not considering that one? I just sold my '91 Honda Accord Wagon... that was a great car, and very reliable too. When we kissed it goodbye it had over 250,000 miles on it (all ours). Unfortunately Honda dropped the Accord Wagon.
