Hi I want to learn Servlet! I am following this tutorial

So I need to download J2EE!! but when I went to sun web site, I found that I can only download J2EE for these platforms

I have windows 98!! so I can not download J2EE or I was in wrong page to download?? please advice! thanks

You don't need J2EE to play with servlets, J2SE plus Tomcat will let you do plenty and won't take so much space on your hard drive. Win98 should work but it is not as reliable as WinXP.

There are also quite a few issues running Tomcat under windows98. The startup files need to be modified. Check out the Apache/Tomcat forum on this site for more information on that.

Here is a link to the J2EE file I used when I did that tutorial using Win95. Of course it is not the most recent one, but it will get you started until you can upgrade from Win9x. And it is certainly sufficient to complete the tutorial.

It seems that Sun is no longer supporting Win9x, so it would probably be wise to upgrade as soon as possible to take advantage of their newest versions.
