Douglas Adams, author of the 'Hitchhikers Guide' series of insanely funny books. He passed away 5/13/01 from a heart attack at his home in California. My cat, Zaphod, is currently wearing a black thread around his collar in mourning. His other head is laughing moronicaly. rick 'Don't Panic'
Yes indeed I was very sad to hear he had passed away. As morbid as it sounds I can't help thinking how ironic it would have been had he been 42 when he dies rather than 49 ... but never mind!! Sorry I know it's in really poor taste but I just can't get that thought out of my head!
Pounding at a thick stone wall won't move it, sometimes, you need to step back to see the way around.
Yes, he will certainly be missed. I guess the "Increasingly Innaccurately titled Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy" will increase no more. I can't wait until my kids are old enough to read his books. God speed, Douglas, I hope they bury you with a blanket.
