I have already written once on this topic, but then I didn't include the source code of the problem involved.

My problem is that I am using Servlets on Tomcat Server to dynamic generate web pages. This web pages include simple JavaScript code, which on given enent should reads the parameters in the Formular and tries to call a JavaScript function in the right frame of the web page, using these parameters. It is working without any problems on IE BUT when I try it on Mozilla, Opera or Netscape I get the following JavaScript error:
Attempted to read protected variable
(the variables from the formular)
PLEASE HELP ME!!! What should I change in my servlet so the JavaScript is working properly on all browsers???
Here is the JavaScript Source:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
function submit_Page(){
var keyword = document.md_b.keyword.value;
var thesauri = document.md_b.zutat.value;
var country =;
var gazetteer = document.md_b.gazetteer.value;
var state = document.md_b.province.value;
var region = document.md_b.district.value;
var district =;
var municipality = document.md_b.township.value;

parent.main.callApplet(keyword, thesauri, country, gazetteer, state, region, district, municipality);

Remark 1: md_b is the name of the formular
Remark 2: main is the name of the right frame
Remark 3: When I call the servlet and save the source as HTML page on the server, it is working perfectly well!!! Therefore I guess I have to change something in the servlet and that the problem is not in the JavaScript.
Any help is highly appreciated.
With best regards,
