getStatus() method of which class or interface? Can you rephrase the question more precisely?

There is no "getStatus" method in any of the servlet or JSP API classes.
There is a "setStatus" in HttpResponse which is used to set the returned status code (e.g 404 for "not found", 200 for "success" etc.)
Can you give any more details of where you have seen this method used?
