The whole idea of flinging cow seems absurd to me. I have been raised in a country where cows are considered holy and revered by the general populace. I would rather have the cow toss the farmer across the hedge.

Had a lot of fun with the game. But I had to stop. Made too much noise in the office (semi-screaming when the cow got thrown out of the picture ). But I think the people who design the game delibrately made it so that nobody can get very high scores. Just as you think you've got the hang of it, the cow would go flying out of control (I could swear I was holding down for the same amount of time which resulted in 50 points the last try!). Wonder if those names listed as 10 highest score aren't made up......

Hiya Glen, it was good to meet you too. Maybe we should have JavaRanch get-togethers in Denver sometime.

Absurd, well yes. I am with you. It reminds me of something else I consider absurd, throwing pie in someone's face is considered funny. Having food fights where people throw food at each other is great fun. I've lived here for a long time but can't get over the wasteage of food taking place in this fun filled activity.
We don't have to go far, there are people right here in the states that are starving.
Everyone has their own definition of fun, there must be something I like to do that might seem quite absurd and wasteful to people from other places.

That is called cultural differences. In this country, cows are not considered holy (wonder where that exclamation "Holy cow!" came from, though)and pie throwing is funny to a lot of people for a very long time(although I personally also don't think it is funny). This is a free country. We can choose to play or not play the cow game, or to laugh or not laugh about the pie. But keep the desire to judge to ourselves would be my advice (although you can choose to listen, or not). No one culture is perfectly compatible with another. We just have to accept that fact as we would hope that our country men/women (of our current homeland) will accept the cultures we grew up in without judgement. Sorry, don't mean to start something argumentative. Carry on, everyone, carry on....

I liked it when Stevie's hair got into the blonde's face, causing the blonde's fist to go into Stevie's face.
