hi, i installed j2ee(100+) to my computer a few days back. I can get all the sample applications(petstore, bookstore) to work. I can compile the normal java programs, but i cant seem to compile servlets. I think this problem is due to my path or classpath settings. I have already set the path n classpath for the jfc and it is working properly, but I dont know what to add when I wanna do j2ee. can someone help me on this cos i cant find any help on this in any of the books. Thanks a lot

you need to add j2ee.jar from your J2EE installation to the classpath when compiling.

Thanks for your help.

I posted in another forum and another guy told me to add "servlet.jar" into my classpath n it works as well. I am wondering what is the difference between j2ee.jar and servlet.jar?
