I am using one servlet for our function request processing.

For ex : http://test.com:9090/TestServlet?F=RA_STS_AC

Based on this parameter ,servlet will do the business logic.

I am using WebSphere AppServer 4.0.6 and Iplanet 6 webserver.

Problem is sometimes the F is missing in the request and same request log in webserver is also like that /GET /TestServlet only.

This problem is reporting by users from the internet.

Any idea on this problem, may be on the heavy load of the requst or someother problems?

Regards

I have never heard of request strings "getting lost" -- not even due to heavy server load. After all, it isn't the sort of thing that can just get broken off, even in a heavy wind I'd be more inclined to suspect something upstream in the process of creating that request on the client end.

Perhaps there is a sequence of client actions that was not anticipated or tested, and this sequence results in a request getting submitted without a query string.

Bala,
The "missing line" is being submitted as a POST rather than a GET. If you use POST, you have to put the field within the form, not as a string url parameter.
