I wonder why Shailesh hasn't noticed this he usually throws a party in the Javaranch forum and bestows a title...

So what would you like your title to be, Tom? Hope you won't get Thomas "The SuperInhuman" Paul, given your record with blunt knives

Congratulations, Thomas! Quite a big day for you, eh?
NN- I imagine Shailesh was asleep at the time. Time zones and all that. He could hardly announce before Thomas' 2000th post, and now Thomas has pre-empted everyone. Actually I believe it was Frank Carver who first started making regular announcements of these events, several months ago. Then when he missed a couple, Shailesh took up the slack. Nowadays it's a toss-up who will get there first. I actually made one of the announcements myself, for William Brogden, but it was someone else who brought it to my attention. We've probably missed some along the way - I hope there isn't a rancher somewhere who's annoyed that no one announced his/her big anniversary. Ah well...

Oh, and as for titles, I'm now at Agilent, not HP (although the two are still pretty similar). It's just a contract though, so I imagine my title will change again in the future. And Mapraputa is now known more as "XML Xena", though she still gets the honorific "GL" appended to her name. Heh, my main contribution was in shortening her name to "Map"; everyone else seems to want to make it longer...
So, how about Thomas "Blunt Knives" Paul?

Aaah, damn, I missed Tom's 2000 party!
I was offline last three days (in Las Vegas, actually). Now I desperately need money, so I decided to start my own small business on the Ranch. I am going to sell Thomas' big color picture (not this small dull black-and-white version you can see on our contact page).
