Thanks! and welcome to the JavaRanch!

What I don't understand is in all your other posts you signed the end with Uma, but in this post you signed the end with Ann, which is your real name, and use that one as your login name. Thanks

One of my favourite sites is http://www.coreservlets.com/. You can find a pdf file of the book "core servlets and java server pages" from Marty Hall.
Of course, there's also java.sun.com.
You should start there to download the J2SDK so you can develop in java.
Need an editor ? Try eclipse at eclipse.com or jcreator at jcreator.com.
At apache.org you can download Tomcat which you will need to get the servlets and JSP's up and running.
Having questions ? You've already found javaranch.com.
