Dear all,

I am having a problem with decripting password for my website. I am using BouncyCastleProvider jar file bcprov-jdk14-117.jar. I also include these files into the common/lib folder of my tomcat
bcjce11.jar
jce1_2_1.jar
sunjce_provider.jar
local_policy.jar
US_export_policy.jar.

The exception error I got is
Cannot find any provider supporting DES/ECB/PKCS5Padding

I know that the code is not a problem because previously I got the system running in another server with Windows with Tomcat 4 and jdk1.4 .

I am now trying to transfer the application to a Red hat Linux with tomcat 4.3 and jdk 1.5 .
Is there any clash of versions which causes the error?

Please help. Thanks a lot.

hi,

I finally solved my problem. I put the jar files into web-inf/lib and it can find the jar file required. I dont understand this since common/lib is the default lib path. A put a mysqlconnector jar on common/lib there seems to be no problem.
