Marriage is outdated.
Have sex with whomever you wish with anyone who you desire and he/she desires you...simply because you are horny...
Relationships in the classical sense are absolete. With women becoming independent, men are only needed for sex and other physical exercises, as are women...
Companionship is only needed on a temporary basis every day, and sex is the ONLY major reason people still seek "relationships."
Let's face it, making promises to be faithful to one mate is unnatural, and barbaric.
Marriage is a stupid sacrifice. If you love someone, you should encourage that he/she be free to explore and enjoy sex with whomever he/she wants. Love in itself is an antique form of emotion. Only weak people still "fall in love."
What is love? A desire to get sexed, plain and simple, a feeling of a need to ensure sex availability.
Relationships should be ONLY about sex and friendship with no strings attached. Don't you agree?

yea, this sounds like a guy who either:
1. just got dumped
2. just got turned-down for the 1,423 time
3. just does not have the nerve to ask a girl on a date.

Gee I heard that back in the Late 60's. They were called Flower Children. But amazingly enough most of those flower children ended up married with children and a 40 hour a week job. AFTER they grew up.
Things never change.

Well, I think it is not enough to say "you sound like a guy who...". There is a mystery (at least, for me). You may say that unfaithfulness hurt other party's feeling, but then why do we allow parents to have more than one child? I remember my girlfriend told me how she was hurt when her little brother was born and all her parents attention was suddenly switched to him. She felt that her parents just stopped to love her. I suspect, this may be a more serious trauma than all later unhappy romances.
Why do we expect, say, five-year-olds to be able to manage their jealous feelings, if it is assumed that we cannot manage our own?
Society requires such totalness from no other kind of relationships. You can have many friends; teachers can have many students, you can love many books, artists, you do not have to eat at the same McDonalds all the time...
So it is OK to share your love among more than one object?

Well, I can look around at the people I know and it appears that marriage is far from becoming a tautology. These people are generally non religious xgeners. I reckon if there was any trend away from marrage, then it should be evident, here.
The institution of marriage has changed a lot over the last hundred years; At least, so I am led to believe. I haven't live anything like hundred years So, I can't state this with accuracy.
I think its funny to hear ideas of how we can simply re-engineer human behavior. Let's go for it. We can do away with marriage, money, property, jealously, egos, gods, weapons... Ah, this list is far too specious. It needs serious thought. Once I become Supreme Global Dictator this can be implemented. Hang on, I don't have a plan to become a SGD. Ah, no plan. Bugger! I think I'll just get back to my neglected cattleranch assignment.
Ho-humm.

I am afraid I dont agree with you there. Mr Sharad Patel is no weakling. This intrepid lover is undeterred by the fact that the doughty Constable Dobbs is in hot pursuit. Would you still say that "only weak people fall in love" ?

I'm getting married this December 1, 2001.
So I am not one of the beleivers that it is outdated.
Not only is it a religious ceremony for me, but it is also my public acknoledgement that I am committing myself to someone for the rest of my life.
P.S. for those of you keeping score I'm also doing the Walt Disney cruise for my honeymoon (4 days at sea 4 days at the parks). hehe... We're just two kids at heart. Can't wait to have my picture taken with Mickey Mouse...
Oh yeah, and we're buying "Just Married" Mickey Mouse ears!!!

Congratulations John!! Exemplify your faith in the institution of marriage. In this age of shifting loyalties and ravaged marriages it is pleasing to see someone stand by proven values and virtues.
God bless.

Marriage is a sense of responsibility. Stay married and chose to love is a decision. If it's mere lust or you're just in heat, stay away from marriage ...or better still, stay away from the girl that you're eyeing.
Having sex with someone is more than a physical thing, you're involving the spirit of the man or woman. The more you lay around the more you would become fragmented and miserable. Part of the spirit of your ex-partner has left you and part of yours have left. Heh, Jesus' instruction helps. The original purpose of marriage is not to impose a stupid restriction, but a freedom of many mankind problem today. look around, the world is a lot more messed up than yesterday....and day by day the world degrades the value of marriage.
