I'm trying to install pebble 1.6 (http://pebble.sourceforge.net) on WAS 5.1

The war file can be downloaded here:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/pebble/pebble-1.6.zip?use_mirror=mesh

(it's in the weblog directory of the zip file)

The pebble documentation says it should take 5 minutes to install, however there is no documentation for WebSphere (only Tomcat, BEA, etc.)

I imported the war, made the context-root 'PebbleProject' and setup a WAS 5.1 Test Server in WSAD set to port 10080. I clicked on "run on server" to install the app. When I go to localhost:10080/PebbleProject/ the main page for pebble comes up fine. When I click on "login" the server spits out exceptions. I uploaded the server log here:

http://nersp.nerdc.ufl.edu/~robbyp/serverPuke.txt

I would really really appreciate a little help.

Best,
Juzzam

It looks like the problem is IBM's default implementation of LogFactory.getLogger() returns the IBM Trace logger. Soiunds impressive, but I just copied it from here. Sounds possible that this is a likely cause of problems if Pebble is not expecting it. The link also includes instructions to override the logger.

Get back to us if this solves you problem please?
