i have installed java 1.4.2 onmy machine and as soon as i click up the java web server to install it give an error that JAVA ON THIS MACHINE IS NOT FOUND . how to set the path so that it will able to detect the java.
i have also set up the path in control panel--> system --> advanced --> environmental variables --> path.
but it is not working

Often installing an application server is specific to the product you've chosen. If you don't tell us what you're installing we're all going to be guessing what's going on.

Also, I believe Ben's post was a subtle hint that you have posted the same question in multiple forums. Please don't do this, it creates duplicate conversations and wastes the time of the people trying to help you.

No, I already mentioned, in another thread, started by the same person, that he might find more knowledgeable help in the App-Server Forum. I didn't want to annoy people by repeating myself.
