I'm one of five, I'm not alive.
The one who sent me forth became king,
The one who received me died.
What am I?

Could be one of five bullets, but I suspect it's more clever than that.

A slingstone seems to me to be correct, for David selected 5 smooth stones from the brook before confronting Goliath.

Well then - a stone would be the correct answer.

That's interesting! Any special reasons for taking this rare combination?

I actually started out as a Chem major; Organic Chem II told me that I wasn't cut out to be one. I thought about what interesting classes I was taking (it was a liberal arts college), and decided that the religion classes were interesting enough for me to want to continue studying. I knew that that would not bring me any money in the real world (it was comparative religion studies, not theology), so I added the computer science. That's my story, and I'm stickn' to it.

I actually went to a liberal arts college as well (graduated May 2000)
I was a computer science / theatre double major. Same reasons

hmm that is interesting. I started out majoring in electronics but didnt like having all my classes chosen for me. I changed to music and majored in that for 2 years but decided the only way i could make a living at that was to be a music teacher so i switched back to electronics and finally got my associate degree after 4 years.
