Hi all,

I didnt know where to post this request, but since it's related to servlet and applet .. i have decided to POST the request here...

after searching on the net, i came to know that a seprate java plug in is required for swing applets and after i went to the sun web site, i got the code for it ..

<OBJECT classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"
width="120" height="160" align="middle"
<PARAM NAME="code" VALUE="PlugInApplet.class">
<PARAM NAME="codebase" VALUE="../src/">

After executing the above code , my applet works perflectly even on those PC where the required plug in is not there.
But now there is a problem....

What if the user doesnot have internet access. My applet page is for Intranet purpose and not for it is possible that some users wouldn't be having internet access.

Can please some one tell me where i can download this same executable that is there in the codebase (,2,0,0)
of the OBJECT that i can put the executable file on my server and then run it when required.

Pls help.

Thank u.

As you can see the "codebase" parameter points to the JRE installation file. (cab file). Download the file. Place it on the intranet and refer to that location instead of the internet location.
Look! I laid an egg! Why does it smell like that? Tiny ad, does this smell weird to you?
