Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Paranormal topic I thought I would post an experience that I had this weekend. Up to this point I was definitely on the "skeptic side" and I still am. I just can't give an scientific explaination of the events.
The pre-Story set-up:
My family was at "camp"(camp being a 2 storey house on a lake! not really roughing it). We invited another family to spend the weekend with us. This family stayed in a guest house which is situated about 100 meters away from the camp. The other family was in the guest camp while their 2 year old son was napping. In the main camp, my 1 year old son "Jake" was playing with toys and such fun things. My son then fell off a chair and hit his head very hard on an open TV cabinet door which is glass. Instantaneously, back in the guest cabin, the little sleeping boy woke up and said "Jakie hurt, where's Jakie, Jakie hit head!" He then fell back asleep. About 1 minute later, he awoke again and cried out "Jakie hurt, Jakie hit head on glass, Jakie hurt!" He then fell back asleep.
When we talked with the parents after they told us of their experience in the guest house. It was really freaky. Their is NO way that they could have heard anything that happened in the main camp as both buildings are completely insulated and all the windows were closed!
I can't explain it!!??

Sorry, the correct test here is the following:
myExperience instanceof paranormal
Java's tricky that way.

WOW that is a cool experience.
Are the boys very close friends? I've heard of things like that happening with twins.
My experiences vary, I've had many, the scariest being one day when I was watching TV and a glass ornament given to me by my grandmother which had been sat on top of the TV suddenly rose about 2 inches above the TV, slowly rotated then shattered. Two hours later I found out my grandmother had died at around the same time. I put it down to her way of letting me know.

They don't see each other very often-->once a month or so (not as close as family).

Only one REALLY freaky experience.
Back in the olden days, when I went to the University of Michigan, I went in to take a test (Organic Chemistry I think). So it was this BIG auditorium and about 500 folks were taking the test. They had exam papers laying upside down scattered every 3 or so seats. The exams were numbered - and there were 4 versions of the exam (they used the numbers to figure out which answer key to use for yours).
So I picked a seat and said to myself "257". Then I turned the paper over and it was 257. There was NO WAY that I could see the number through 10 sheets of paper, and they were not set about the room in any order. It shook me up way bad. Took 5 or 10 minutes to settle down enough to concentrate on the exam.
Not a clue. Just chance perhaps?

Back in college (the first time I went) my best friend used to be able to think of a number and I could guess it more then 50% of the time. The numbers were always between 1 and 100. It was weird in that I could get the numbers he was thinking of but he coudlnt get them when I thought of them.
The best time was camping once with his brothers girlfriends family there were about 10 or so of us in a trailer. And his brother told them about it. I went into the back room of the trailer while one of the parents there wrote down the number and gave it to my friend (so there was no way i could hear it). It took me about 2 or 3 minutes but I hit it. I always thought that was kind of wierd.
Just my .02

kids are known to have more psychic energy than adults, generally cause we don't develop it as we get older so we lose the ability.

Wow, these have been really interesting experiences. Thomas Paul, have you been reading all this? What do you think?
Here's one other of those strange events that I've experienced: This was about 10 years ago. My cousin and her parents were visiting my house. At that time, I was curious about palmistry, and was reading some books trying to understand how it all worked. And whenever I got a chance, tried to "read" people's palms.
With her parents looking on, I asked my cousin to show me her palm, and after looking at it for a while, and making some general observations, I suddenly said: Hey you've been going out with this guy next door, and you've been planning to get married. She smiled and didn't say anything.
The next day, her parents called us - their daughter had eloped with the guy next door intending to get married! They knew about her affair, and had hoped to keep it a family secret... They were shocked that I already knew about it. Obviously, I didn't know anything - was it just chance?
My cousin is now happily married to the same guy, and now has a 7-year old cute kid. Her parents have forgiven the couple, and everything's fine now.

i went to keen.com and talked with a psychic named sammy_s.
(cool service they charge so much per minute)
all is said was that my dad died and his name was john.
she said it might not work, but she'd describe the people that were trying to talk to me.
the first sounded like my grandma but then she said she saw a man.
she said he was skinny everywhere but had a beer belly - check
that he was muscular and worked hard all his life check
then she said he is missing a finger on his left hand big fat check
no way she could have looked that one up! unless she had hacked into a hospital computer system, or foud some type of farmer's accident report.
She went on to say what his message was to me, and it sounded JUST like what he would say to me.
