I have created a simple custom tag. I am using Eclipse 3.0 and Jboss 3.2.5. I was able to compile everything without errors. I placed the servlet.jar in C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1_02\lib\ext folder.
But when I run my jsp I always got this error:

exception

Is the location of the servlet.jar correct? If yes, what caused this problem and if no, where should it be located?

Thanks!

don't put ANYTHING in that directory.
Rather tell your compiler to use the true location of the file by adding it to the classpath when compiling.

See your compiler documentation on how to do that. It's very simple and the documentation is something you should read until you understand it.
