In the hints for assignment 1.8 it is suggested that we get to know the date class. I started out using it, but a lot of the methods in Date are deprecated. Everytime I ran my application I got warnings.
Can this assignment be done with GregorianCalendar? What class is the best to use now?

Date will do everything you need to complete the assignment. Without using deprecated stuff. No need for GregorianCalendar.

We can fix it! We just need some baling wire, some WD-40, a bit of duct tape and this tiny ad:
a bit of art, as a gift, that will fit in a stocking
