Hi All,

1) What is a session management and why do we use session objects.

2) How are sessions objects stored in sessions.

3) What is the difference between storing an object in Application and getServletContext().

I knowthese are very basic questions and I can get all these in any book ..
But I believe that I learned Java more on this site rather than spending time in reading books..

Thanks in advance..

What is your understanding of these question from book so far ?
I would still recommend you read them in book and then if you find any confusion JR is always there.

Hi Shailesh,

Thx for suggestion, but irt depends person to person. And I prefer going through these questions and answers rather than looking into the books.

I concur with Shailesh.
Javaranch is not an answer mill for homework assignments.
If you're having a hard time understanding a particular concept, there are plenty of people here to help but forums are not a substitute for reading.

The intent of these questions is to give you and understanding of the underlying concepts that is necessary to be able to work effectively with server side java. If someone hands you the answers, you're going to miss out on this.

What do you know, so far, about the difference between application scope and context scope?

Its a misconception. Believe me its not like this. Forums and books are not alternatives of eachother, as said earlier. Both goes parallel and reading books is worthy. I hope you will understand.
