Hi,

I am creating an application which runs on weblogic6.1 under HP-Unix operating system. This application make query to the database and stores the result in excel sheet on application server itself. Then I am trying to ftp the excel sheet to the IIS server5.0 which runs on Windows 2000 server by executing shell scripts at the time of application server startup at the same time the application is creating file.

The problem I am facing when I try to ftp the excel sheet on the IIS Server. Its because of the firewall there between the IIS server and application server. Firewall is configured in such a way that its not allowing any other protocol other than http.

Is there any solution or any other alternative.

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what you mean by 'ftp-ing the excel sheet to IIS'. Can you elaborate?

If the firewall only allows http, use an http based transport mechanism. Perhaps SOAP.

Also, this does not seem the right forum for this question, it seems to have nothing to do with Servlets.
