im playing single version of diablo 1. im just about to open the last door. my warrior beat diablo easily. im less sure about my sorceror though. for one thing his only resistance is lightning 20%. useless against appocalypse spell. and i read diablo is immune to stone curse spell so my golem will get smashed quickly. im thinking of casting a guardian spell from a scroll in the room but the guardian probably wont last very long. when my warrior beat him i lured the knights out a few at a time till i thought they were all gone then i ran in and lured diablo out. the guys with the staffs dont follow so it was one on one. well i will post later the results. any tips would be appreciated.
hah! diablo is a weak pansy! the same place that told me he was imune to stone curse(a spell no monster is supposed to be imune to) told me that holy bolt(which is only supposed to work on undead) works on him even though he is not undead but a demon. so i changed my armor and shield to get 50% resistance to fire and hit him with a barage of holy bolts. it was too easy. well the world is safe from him now. or is it? those who have finished the game know the answer.
If it took you this long to finish Diablo 1, then I guess you'll be completing Diablo 2 when java becomes obsolete(of course this will be a long time ) . Jamie ps, I beleive that I beat Diablo using a staff of apocalypse that I found...but I can't remember that far back
From what i remember of D1 compared to D2 is that D2 is WAY longer. Much more fun, and a MUCH bigger world with different regions to explore. And there is an expansion pack for that as well called "Lords of Destrucion". Gives you 2 additional classes to use.
HAH! my new rogue is already at level 16. she is so awesome it is unbeleivable! my other characters at least had to struggle a bit to get past lazarus ant then the 16th level. my new rogue walks through like a walk in the park! resist all is MAX! armor class is 140! to hit 125%! damage is 29-33!
Nathan, I got the one you can have tile-based graphics. It's better than other tile-based games I have played once you get over the learning curve for the user interface I just like mouse controlled games so much better. It is kind of adicting though. Im on level 2 of the dungeon now. my little doggie sure eats a lot! I even catch myself typing the commands with my left hand because my right is on the mouse. one thing is different, you never have to pause the game.
