Hello friends,

I am a bit confused about the circumstances in which Servlet exception or its subclass UnavailableException is thrown.

Please tellme the conditions of throwing these exceptions.

It is up to the servlet programmer to create and throw an UnavailableException if something goes wrong during the init method. This allows the servlet engine to provide at least some information about the cause - a great improvement over a not-found message. At least you know that the servlet has been located.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
It's clear to me now.
