Hi,

We are implementing a applciation which provides data to external applications.

For this a external application will pass request parameters in POST method and we have to impelement client authentication for the same.

The servlet which will be provding data has to be HTTPS.

Can anybody pls tell me how we can impelement client authentication by making servlet invoked on https protocol in WAS?

Thnx in advance.

Hi Sejal, this probably varies a little according to what Servlet container you're using. But in general, you'll probably want to get a certificate and configure your app server accordingly. This will let you use https.

As for security constraints and other stuff, just follow the standard (declaring security constraints and such in your servlet container's config file)
