Someone I know had ask me what is the most straight forward way of producing a mailing list/newsletter for their members. Their members need to have anonymity (so the email goes out like a "bcc"). I am not certain of the size of the membership, maybe 1000 to 2000 members.
In my ignorance, I am aware it is possible to have some sort of mailing group in an address book and simply mail out the email/newsletter as a bcc, however this allows for too much human error. It is important to not allow an email to go out with all
members seeing each others email addresses in a humugious "to".
If anyone can share their knowledge on this it would be much appreciated.

You see, the problem with bcc is, if you have an email provider like Hotmail, enabling the Junk Mail Filter directs all bcc'ed mails to the Junk Mail folder.
And the Junk Mail folder is a virtual Sargasso Sea of junk, where hundreds of emails keep pouring in, promoting everything under the sun, from sleaze, to free vacations, to university degrees... e.g. one mail has a subject 'If You Are Under 31 Do Not Read This'. That's some really mature stuff. Obviously I didn't read it, I am only 29.
So, my point is, do you really want to risk losing an important email in this cess pool? One way to get around this is to write a program to read from the list of email ids, and send the mail to each of them. If however, the distribution is internal to the company, perhaps a Group Id can be created and used...
