Simple Question

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Lets say I have a html form that needs to send information to a java application to be checked before being shown on a web page. Would i be correct in thinking I should be using Servlet technology?

Thanks very much

Yes.

JavaServer Pages, JavaServer Faces, Struts... etc Java Web Technology are built on top of Servlet. So indirectly/directly, you are using Java Servlet.

Of course, it is possible for you not to use Servlet technology, but still can serves web page. You might wanna try develop your own servlet-like socket-based java application (a web server).

Still, Servlet-based technology is the way to go.
