You'll usually find that under the Tools, Options menu of whatever browser the client side is using.

But you ask this in the Servlets forum. Are you asking how a servlet can cause the client to stop accepting cookies?

If you want Client to stop accepting cookies. You just dont send any.

After disabling cookies in my FireFox browser I tried logging in Javaranch forum. But I couldn't log in. Does this mean JavaRanch doesn't support URL Rewriting.

No. Actually it uses cookies to maintain the user's session.
