He, of course, is partial as anybody else but I found his analysis of "Oriental Studies" quite challenging and worth reading, if only to confute it Thomas, which were the articles or books that you found apologetical?

I have read at least parts of (I find it difficult to read one his books because at some point I always end up throwing it out a window): "The Question of Palestine" and "Covering Islam". I have also read many of his short essays.
