"information" is a vague term.
What, exactly, do you mean; headers, parameters, attributes?
They all mean different things in J2EE.

I would start by reading the method descriptions in the HttpServletRequest object:

Don't forget to read the methods inherited from the parent class too.

After you have read that, get a copy of RFC 2616 - the official defining document for Hypertext Transfer Protocol - HTTP/1.1
Google or Yahoo search for "rfc2616" will lead you to online sources and commentary.
