The most important point:
You don't see any Americans trying to sneak their way into other countries like you see foreigners from all over the world trying to get into and live in America illegally. Does any other country have an immigration problem like America does? I don't think so. What does that tell you? (I leave this for homework)
Most of the Anti-American posts having of an underlying basis of jealousy. If they can't become American citizens they figure they should bash everything and everyone that makes up America.
Probably, most of the Anti-American bashes come from people with expired visas.
God bless America!

Your 100% right man.
If you want to come and live in America you cant be slamming it at the same time. Anytime I hear anyone complaining about Canada ormy City I make it a point to let them know they are more than welcomed to leave. Dont be hypocrites!!! Love it or Leave it

Actually once again you are wrong in thinking that America is the only country in the world with immigration problems, I know of at least one more and that's the UK!

I do remember few americans caught while sneaking in to china with their plane. It was real fun watching you guys beg chinese to return these people. So china is one country suffering from american trying to sneak in.
May be you shuld have attacked china then with help of pakistani dictator.
ohh no but china is communist. So you will also need to take osama bin laden's help to beat it. He is your old friend in war against communism. He is expert in that field.
Think of it. America, Musharraf and Osama fighting holy war for freedom and peace and liberty and justice (ultimate of course)... just fill in the psudo values that you talk so much about all the time.

God bless America! and its ignorant people.

Ameriaca was a land of opprtunity....but for a while it will not be 4 foreigners now....
And yah, the people who is talks against america is perhaps those who don't want to live outside their country or don't have a scope. Despite not all the people r like that and there r probable many americans who criticize themselves....like in Roots british criticized themselves for their sins on black people....

Wrong again. Almost every country in the world has a problem with illegal immigrants. Iranians try to sneak into Turkey, people from almsot all the south eastern countries try to sneak into Singapore , Bangladeshis try to sneak into India. This is a global phenomenon.

I am not an illegal immigrant. Neither do I have a secret desire to become an American citizen. Though I am a modest person by nature just because you brought up the subject I must mention this. I am using an assumed name because, I just cannot bring myself to post this under my real name. Some of you may be able to guess my real identity. I dont care. Modesty is a false and pretentious sentiment anyway.
In June 2000 the Chief Operating Officer and the CEO of an American company flew down all the way here and camped out at a hotel for more than a week to talk to me. They came all the way here to recruit just one person. The overture came from their side. I never applied for the job .
I did not turn down the job because I hate America either. Actually I accepted the offer because I was flattered that they would go to all this trouble just to recruit me. But my company talked me out of it when I submitted my resignation.
I also learned something else about Americans then. I learned they can become quite abusive when they can't get their way . My name is mud in that company now but but there must be a lot of people who haven't heard about the June 2000 fiasco and would be willing to talk to me. So I could get a job in the US and then become an American citizen after some years.

Actually I like everything about becoming an American citizen except the part in the American constitution which says I have to post a lot of nonsense here after I become an American citizen .

What an ignorant post. The plane was in international waters and was hit by a plane from china. Of course being from china, your government will only let you hear what it wants you to.

Immigration is a global and historical phenomenon. People who are fed up with the current environautomatically tend to migrate to other places. I believe that's how human race populated the whole earth and that's how zero went from India to Arabia to Europe. It's a law of nature. Entropy of a system always tends to increase.
When people (nations) built boundries on the earth, the free flow of people was stopped and so today, there is a pentup disparity or mismatched distribution of energy. Obviously, when there is a mismatch in the potential energy between two points, there is a potential difference.
The insulation of boundries can only prevent the "sparking" up to a certain potential difference. But as the PD increases, "sparks" happen and when the PD get's very high, the insulator behaves as a conductor and then what happens is known as "short circuiting".
Anyway, I agree that America is not what is was centuries ago. I respect American people for their hard work of centuries that turned the barren and hostile terrain into the best place on earth.
However, I also believe this turn around would not have happened without the (almost) free labor of African Americans. I was reading the American history the other day in a public library and I really feel that African Americans did not get their due. I was the brains of Europeans and the hard labor of AAs that tamed this wild land.
God Bless America.

Immigration problems exist throughout the world. Many countries have serious "problems" with it. I don't think we need to necessarily look at immigrants as coming here to "take our jobs" or anything like that. These are just people seeking a better life for themselves and their family, and you can't really blame someone for that.

I am an immigrant. Naturally I have no problems with people immigrating towards better lives. What I have issues with is people bad-mouthing America and still shamelessly taking every advantage they can of this country. Anyone holding the "My politics, culture and religion are superior to yours. But I want your jobs and dollars and all the other good stuff" attitude needs to know that you can't have it both ways. The good life in America belongs to those hard working people who truly love this great country. If you don't, you know where you can go.

I haven't noticed anybody doing that here. I may have criticised some of the policies of the American government. As I said before everything I own right down to my underwear is made in India. I have been to the US once as a tourist many years ago. Would you call that shamelessly taking advantage of this country ?

1. If U havent noticed that , I must say I have doubts about your Noticing powers.
2. Buying an Indian Underwear doesnt mean you are more patriotic or Indian than others.
3. And if you are so proud about everything you own is Indian, why do you work for a non-Indian company ??
Please dont provide answers but do think about them.
AND I AGREE WITH THOMAS, FAISAL , ANDY . IF YOU HAVE MOVED TO A COUNTRY ON YOUR OWN CHOICE, U HAVE NO RIGHT TO SPEAK AGAINST IT. IF U DONT LIKE IT, GO HOME.

There are plenty of illegal immigrants from China, Vietnam and other countries in Russia currently. Doesn't mean that Russia is such a wonderful country to live in.

The point is that you don't see American's dying in attempts to find a better life in another country.
Obviously, there are refugees everywhere but none of them are Americans.
Thats one of the million things great about America, "If you don't like the country your free to leave". Note: the keyword is FREE.
You don't have to hide in back of a cargo truck inhaling carbon monoxide or try to cross an ocean on a homemade raft with 300 other people.

Well, there is one. Arnold Lokshin, sorry if I misspelled his name. Emigrated to Russia from the USA, complained that FBI persecuted him for his socialistic views so he had to escape. Worked as a chief of anti-cancer labaratory for some time, now retired. Complains that American government refused to pay his pension But I see your point, much more people want to go to the USA than to leave it.
As for an underlying basis of jealousy... Canada and Australia are attractive emigrant targets also, yet they seem suffer from "constructive critics" less. So your logic may not explain all cases...

The Point is that americans are ignorant and not aware of the world and the life over there.
Ignorance is bliss ( so is america for americans ).
